My IDF Ride In Honor of My Cousin, Yitzy Nadoff

Scott Farrell

I am honored to participate in the upcoming Nevut 50 mile ride in honor of my cousin Yitzy Nadoff.  A former lone solider affiliated with Nevut, he was visiting Israel last Sukkot, and, when war broke out, he volunteered to go back into service as a medic, putting his life on the line to serve and protect the people of Israel.  He has since made Aliyah and served several tours.

Ordinarily, even I wouldn't have the chutzpah to ask people to support a ride of mine, when I've already bugged them, and in many instances, have already donated to my Bike4Chai ride this year!  However, my cousin Yitzy, even when his unit isn't called up to action, actively seeks out other units to be able to serve between his official shifts!  If he can put his life on the line over, and over, and over, I figured I could send out a few more emails.

Serving in the IDF can be an incredibly demanding experience, and the transition back to civilian life can bring its own unique set of challenges. Fortunately, Nevut is here to help ensure that our veterans have a smooth landing when they return. Nevut is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resources, enabling our brave men and women to reintegrate into civilian society successfully. Please help me support Nevut by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise makes a difference!
